Textile concept "Lucky" and " Corso"

Stockholm Furniture Fair -2008

Coordinated Concept products from Almedahls in design of Maria Löw. A complete take on textiles for creating room settings and interesting interactions of materials.

-During the work of designing new textile pattern "Lucky" I was fascinated of the space between leafes. An exciting  interaction between foliage and vacant space precisely as in reality, in nature or in urban enviroment. The carpet "Clover" from the same concept, has got the lines from the burn-out textile as a pattern.
I wanted to create a simple pattern of structure, that changes when moving in the room.
The pattern "Corso" I created after a trip to Scotland, where every clan have their own "familycheck". The idé was born to a checked burn-out curtain, that brings the thoughts to an old fashion curtain wowen  of threads. I have transfered a part of this pattern to the Shaggyrug "Vico". The pattern is created of lines that are lowered as a contrast to the longhaired Shaggy quality.
